In honor of Earth Day 2010, I want to make my blog green. And how will you do this, you ask? By having a tree planted to neutralize the carbon emissions from this blog.
One of the goals of the "Make it green!" initiative is to reduce the carbon footprint by raising awareness of the severe environmental damage caused by carbon emissions . One of their activities is to raise awareness of the carbon emissions resulting from the use of the Internet - specifically of blogs. A blog with 15,000 visits a month has a yearly carbon dioxide emissions of 8lb!

Hi! I came over from the UBP comment you left and started poking around - it NEVER occurred to me that my blog wasn't carbon neutral!! Good thing I don't get 15,000 hits a month (j/k) - thanks for this info, I'm going to poke around a little more :)
