Yeah, It's Party Time!

It's that time of year- time to party around the blogosphere!  I've participated in UBP in years past and it's so much fun.  It's great to take the time and read new blogs, meet new cyber friends, and hopefully win big prizes!  If you've never participated in the Ultimate blog party, you'll have to check it out.

Meet Little Man!

Loves to paint... age 2- a terrific two (on most days!)

AND now meet my better half... love for most of my life.
Met him when I was just about 15 years old.

Met him in a grocery store in 1986. Yes.. 26 years ago!

Okay... now a litlte bit about Creative and Curious Kids!  What will you find here?

I have a background in education and enjoy sharing with other parents and teachers. And learning from them, of course! Also, I school my kiddos at home via cyberschool, so I often share some of their learning experiences. I'm also the keeper of The Messy Nest (my new blog focusing on my organizational/decluttering goals) and I share Christian ideas/thoughts over at God's Shining Stars. So basically I'm one busy woman who you'll find all over the place!

If you are new to Creative and Curious Kids!, so nice to have you here! I'm Jen.
If you've been here before, welcome back!

This is me....


I'm a former Elementary teacher- I taught enrichment and gifted education for 8 years.
Presently, I'm raising my little ones and working as a part-time server dishing out seafood.
I enjoy reading, Christian music, being silly, exploring nature with the family, and of course being creative! The main purpose of this blog- to encourage curiosity and creative thinking in my children and hopefully to inspire others along the way!

This is my husband...


When he's not annoying the heck out of me, he makes me laugh! And smile a lot. He's actually a great husband and father. He enjoys fishing, hiking, and playing sports with our girls. You'll catch him doing a creative activity here and there with them or even catching the last princess movie. Shh. Don't tell anyone! Let's just say he's happy to have a little guy around the house now. We've been married for almost 15 years.

Now meet our Creative and Curious Kids...



Starting from the left:
Peanut just turned six. She has quite the imagination and loves to write and make up stories! She also loves books. Next, we have Little Man- 3 months old- loves to be read to and enjoys music. Last we have the biggest sister, Sunshine, who will be 8 years old soon. She is very spunky and active and is always creating something new with her craft/junk drawer. She is very curious about everything!

Well, I hope that you will follow along with Creative and Curious Kids!, where you will find fun activities, website and book suggestions, and more. I also just started the Baby Times to encourage play/nurturing of our infants. This will be posted here on Tuesdays.
