The Baby Times! 6th Edition

Good Morning to you! Good Morning to you! Good Morning dear______, Good Morning dear______, Good Morning to you!

Our morning ritual.

I started a morning ritual with my very first baby. Each morning I would sing to her followed by a hug and smooch. Next, we would count the stairs as we walked down them (sometimes in Spanish).

At the bottom of the steps hangs a painting that says"Welcome Friends" with a bear, a bunny, and a bird on it. So each morning, we would greet them-

"Good morning, Bear!"
"Good morning, Bunny!" and so on..

Next, we would look for shadows on the wall as we sang-"Where, oh where, oh where is shadow?" I would wave my hand so the babies could find a shadow.
As I was blessed with more children, I continued this morning tradition. I still beg my "big" girls for my morning hug and kiss! "Hey, don't run past Mommy, where's my morning hug?"

In today's video, I'm singing our morning song with Little Man. If you like our little song, just insert your child's name. Each morning as I sing to Little Man, he often greets me with a warm smile that just warms my heart!

Most people may have a bedtime ritual, but what about a special way to start out each day? A morning ritual is a positive and loving way to start out your day with baby!

Happy Tuesday!
Jen

What a great post, Jen! What kid wouldn't want to wake up to such a special moment? I bet it puts him in a great mood for the rest of the day! :-)

This is great! I never thought about the nighttime ritual (which we have) vs a morning ritual. We just kind of get up and start moving. I need to think about creating something like that for my little boy. Our morning tend to be pretty crazy and I think that would help. Thanks for the ideas!!
