It's Jello Time!

Jello is fun to eat, but how will it feel between your toes?? Don't you think our kids will absolutely love us if we let them put their feet in a bin of Jello? I know you may be thinking- WHY? Why in the world would I put my child's feet in jello? Aren't you curious what it would feel like? I think my girls would definately want to find out!
Actually, I heard about an awesome teacher (never met him, but you'll read why I think he's awesome) who would let his students walk around in a baby pool of jello. Next, they would describe how it felt and use the describing words for their writing. How much fun is that? Could you imagine your English teacher taking you outside to walk in jello? Never happened to me during my school days. Although, I did slide into a pool of jello for charity when I was an adult. Very strange to slide your body into this cool, sticky stuff, but it was for a good cause!

This post is dedicated to my MOPs friend Jen who recently let her little boy paint with his toes, which reminded me of the jello activity!! Thanks, Jen!! Let me know if he likes the jello idea!

Sounds like fun! I mean, what could be cooler than squishing your toes in a vat of jello? LOL.

Wanted to see if you would be interested in taking some of you awesomely creative ideas & putting them in an article for my ParentingPink.com site. I know you are as busy as I am, so maybe you could just put 3 or 4 of your favorite "girl" crafts together for our readers. No pressure, but you are way more creative than I am and I think that our readers would love new ideas. Have any for Halloween? That might be a fun article to.

My daughters LOVE messy activities! Whenever they see a mound of some sort of sensory material, be it mud, dough, clay, shaving cream, etc, their first impulse is to stick their hands in. This is quickly followed, 100% of the time, by the question, "Can I put my feet in it?" A bathtub full of jello would be like.....better than a birthday party! Cool idea! (Though I'm not sure if I've willing to actually carry through with the reality of it!) : )

lynnie- Thanks for stopping by! Hope you will come back and share your ideas, too. I enjoyed peeking at your blog. Loved it, so had to add it to my favorite mom blogs. It looks like we have teaching and nuturing our children's creative spirits in common!!

This reminds me (for some strange reason) of the movie Patch Adams when the sweet little old lady wants a pool filled with noodles!!!

Remember????

Now I am going to have to rent that movie. I haven't see it and now I'm dying to know what the pool of noodles is all about! Don't tell me! I'll rent it! How funny that you thought of that. Cold noodles on the toes, hmmm- interesting, possible slimy!!
Ha, Ha.

Thanks my new blogger friend! I'm actually on my way out the door to go to the movie store. We're going to do family/popcorn movie night. I'll have to pick up Patch Adams for when the little ones are in bed! Thanks again!! Jen
