What is Critter??
What animal do you think Critter is? If you haven't met Critter, then what are you waiting for? You need to bounce on over to Critterville to meet him and his family!
Trish over at Preschool Playbook posted an Easter Critter Book and piqued my curiosity!
I know that there are more serious things to be curious about, but my girlies asked me the question, so I made an attempt at finding the answer. I found the official website for Critter- using google- of course. Very cute site with lots to explore. The more I look at Critter, I wonder if he might be a porcupine?? My girls thought maybe a beaver or groundhog. The author might just want Critter to be whatever animal we want him to be or he's just enjoys driving me crazy. In response to a child's question about the type of animal he is, Critter says,"I'm a critter of course!" So much for the website helping me if Critter won't even tell a curious little kid! Oh Well, I still love Critter anyways- Whatever he is!!

Happy Reading!

Just stopping in from the UBP. Love your blog and love the name. I do live in your world with 2 little ones of my own. Check out my blog for some great deals and freebies for kids.

Oh, Cool! I guess everything has a website these days! I'll have to check this out since we have a few of these critter books kicking around! My mom was up a couple weeks ago and brought me the critter book about the critter and his father that I had given my own dad for Father's Day like twenty five years ago! Very timely to see this post!
This is THE BEST. I can't wait to see what kind of answers you get.
Trish
I LOVE this book! We bought it last Easter and it's one of my daughters favorites!
A Strawberry Shortcake birthday party sounds like such fun! Be sure to take lots of pics & post them on your blog for us to see!
Have a great weekend!
haha--i have no idea!
i memorized "just for you" when i was little, and it made me want to learn to read:)
Oh, we love Mercer Mayer at our house. And I'm going to admit something that will make me sound reeeaaallly stupid. I never considered that critter was an animal. I always thought he was a monster. Oops. Well I feel sheepish! Thanks for visiting my blog during UBP 2009. Hope you had a great party week and made lots of new bloggy friends! Good luck in the prize drawings!
Hi there! I think he's a hamster. That's what I've always though... but I could be wrong.
I loved those books when I was little! I don't think my boys have any...
I absolutely loved Critter when I was a kid! I always felt like he (or is it she?) was a porcupine, but I was never sure! haha.
Thanks for stopping by the Next Kid Thing!
The critter books are superb. We have a handful and read them often.
We love little critter! Thanks for the fun links- my kiddos will love checking it out!
