Time4Learning Review

As many of you already know, my children are educated at home via cyberschool.  Therefore, they are exposed to a variety of technology and learning programs daily.  One of the programs that  their school has required them to use is Time4Learning

Time for Learning is an online program for pre-K to grade 8 that engages kids with interactive lessons and learning games.  The curriculum focuses on both language arts and math skills, as well as social studies and science at some grade levels.

This past year, my children used the 1st grade and 3rd grade curriculum for mostly reading and math.  My first grader loved the program and was excited when she would see Time4Learning listed in her daily lessons.  She enjoyed the animated characters and activities.  My 3rd grader didn't enjoy the program as well, because she said that she felt that they didn't explain the directions well enough for some of the quizzes, etc.  She did prefer working on this program better than traditional worksheets.
I liked that the kids could work at their own pace and that the programs were engaging and kid-friendly.  Time4Learning also helped me to be able to track their progress in certain learning areas and kept a report of the activities that they accomplished.

Not only is Time4Learning a great program for homeschooling, but would also be appropriate for after school or summer learning.

Disclosure:  Time4Learning provided my children with one month of programming for free for the purpose of this review.  The program was also provided by their cyberschool for the 2010/2011 school year. The above opinions are my own and may differ from other's opinion.
