Once a week, I'd like to start featuring posts that relate to enriching the lives of our babies. I'm going to call these posts: The Baby Times!
The Baby Times! will include book suggestions, songs/finger plays, and more to stimulate our babies' little minds! Of course, I will continue to feature creative activities and thinking ideas for older children throughout the week.
This week I am going to share a book that I loved reading to all of my babies- it is well loved as you'll see in the video! I can't stress the importance of reading to our little ones. We actually started reading to our infants shortly after they were born. This is a great way to help them with language development and a way for family members to bond with baby.
What Do You Say? by Mandy Stanley is a colorful and fun book to share with your infant or Toddler. Preschoolers would actually enjoy it as well. Filled with bright pictures, it's text is very simple and repetitive.

I'm looking forward to reading your suggestions of fun things to do with a baby. My little one is 2 months old and I have an almost 4 year. I find myself hardly playing with my baby girl at all:( Seems like all my attention is going to my preschooler. Maybe reading your suggestions each week will remind and encourage me to spend time playing with my baby girl too. By the way, I love reading your blog!
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog- i am also following you from blog frog. Nice place you have here

What a great feature! I look forward to reading more of these! We have a book by this same author called How do you Feel? Juliet loved it as a baby--I will look for this other one. I'm sure it is just as good! Thanks for the links and kind comments!
