Where did it all go wrong? How did we go from a family of mummies to Pippy Longstocking, a ghostly ghoul, and Abby Cadabby? Peanut was the first to bail on the idea- she just had to be Abby Cadabby once her eyes saw the turquoise, pink, and purple fluff! I admit, I was next- I started to get lazy and decided to just borrow a Pippy headband from the girls. So my oldest-Sunshine, was sticking to her guns, even though we deserted her- she was going to be the lone Mummy! Who would of thought that it would be difficult to find a white sweatsuit or thermal underwear for your child? Okay, I confess- I actually waited until the day before Halloween to make her mummy creation! Didn't work out as planned, so she settled for a ghost- the mummy's cousin!! Can we spell- P-R-O-C-R-A-S-I-N-A-T-O-R!!! And Dad- he didn't even dress up this year. We told him that he shouldn't get any candy then! So there!
So, So sorry that I can't show you an adorable Mummy family like I had inspired! Check out some fun pics from today, though. We still had a great night- How can you not- you get to play make-believe, get a little spooked out, and eat candy!! Fun Fun Fun! Happy Halloween!
Having Fun at big sister's school parade!

I love Pippi Longstocking! I used to run around singing the Pippi song! The costumes you have are sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! My family all did Peter Pan one year - it was fun. Then the kids decided the following they wanted to pick out their own! I had a lepoard, and and ninja.
ReplyDeleteYou're all totally adorable! I LOVE the Abby Cadabby! She seems suited for the part! But ALL of you look cute!
ReplyDeleteI was supposed to be a snake (because, of course, that goes so well with a rocket and a ferris wheel) but ditched my costume in the end b/c it just seemed like so much trouble to change clothes after a tiring morning of pre-Halloween activities!
Oh well, next year!
Such sweet pictures!! Thank you for sharing them!

PS....PLEASE ditch the word verification thingy!! Thank you!
Cute pictures...I'm glad you mentioned where Abby was from..I read the name the first time and had no clue who she was (I don't have kids so no Sesame Street for me!)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had fun.
Awww! They are adorable!! Great job on the costumes regardless!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I love everyone's costumes - especially yours! LOL. The girls are adorable - I think they can pull off any costume you put them in!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great Halloween!
You guys look great!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I love the witch hat - did you make it? It is darling!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Halloween pics. It looks like you guys had a great time. We had a mummy this year too. I used two pairs of tub socks to cover up hands and arms, and feet and legs. Then he had a white Under Armor shirt. Then I had three rolls of guaze. I should have had more. I was only able to wrap his head, some parts of arms, and waist to thigh. It worked out great though--and he thought it was the "bees knees."
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes! That's one thing I miss (living way out in the country)-seeing trick or treaters!
ReplyDeleteWhat darling pictures! I love it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
